First Tuesday in October, so the room got decorated. A three-eyed balloon over the drum kit, a skeleton on the horn, and the lights doing what the lights do. Bass, drums, two guitars and a saxophone, plus everybody who pulled up a chair to listen. No cover, no sign-up sheet. Just whoever walked in.
